Maach Misti & More, another interesting experiment by Tripod Entertainment and Mojo productions, the makers of Bong Connection, Bhooter Bhabishyat and other such blockbusters that have given the Bengali film industry a completely new identity and the much needed boost.
The film revolves round the lives of the archetypal Bengalis who have to deal with complex relationships, racing careers and the hesitant older generation who love to bask in the glory of the days gone by. In this movie which is all about the various aspects of the expedition called life and that too depicting the life that we deal with today, actors like Swastika, Parno, Sauvik, Anubrata, Neha Panda, Parambrata, Sri Soumitra Chatterjee and Raima Sen along with the others have added the much required flavor and feel to the movie. Mainak Bhaumik has very neatly crafted the entire movie to suit the taste of both the older and younger generation. The premiere of the movie saw the presence of all of these fantastic actors. Along with the veterans, Swastika’s “actress in the making” daughter Anwesha was also present at the premiere and we were absolutely delighted to talk to this chirpy young lady. While all the ladies looked their best in smart winter wears, Neha Panda the stylist and the actress, primarily caught our attention owed to her pink blazer and matching hair clips. So, now we know why the dresses worn by the ladies in M3 are so chic and different from the usual.
The movie with characterizations of a cool grandpa, an aspiring professional, a chef in the making, a neglected wife tired of orthodox in laws, a cool yoga trainer and a liberal minded dude has the adequate doses of humor, sentiments and a vivid portrayal of our daily dilemmas. Well, if we were to enlist the high points of the movie, the strong script, crisp editing and super acting skills of the veterans and the new comers alike are to be mentioned. Parno, though in a cameo again has an interesting and new look altogether.
Maach Misti & More will surely give you the perfect feel of the Kolkata of today with the potpourri of ideal Bangaliana. Mainak Bhaumik who initially seemed quite nervous was seen smiling confidently during the interval as by then he had very well analyzed the audience reviews and reactions and was rest assured that his efforts have not gone to waste. Satrajit of Tripod entertainment who is the co producer of the movie was all praises for the entire team and specially thanked Srijit and Swastika for helping him realize his dream.
The music and the background score is absolutely in sync with the overall feel of the movie and singers like Somlata, Ishita, Timir and Rupankar have done complete justice to Neel’s creation.
Altogether Maach Misti & More has turned out to be the comprehensive celebration of Bangaliana with factual comic sequences and sentimentaltouch that envelops the mind of the Bengalis today. M3 is an all-round entertainer and you can surely book your tickets well in advance for a fun day out with family.
