The debut venture of the duo Parambrata Chatterjee and Indradeep Dasgupta as Director- Composer, Hawa Bodol has some fantastic music and from the sounds of it the music of this movie is meant to linger on for long..
The evening of February 28th 2013 saw the presence of Parambrata Chatterjee, Rudranil Ghosh, Neha Panda, Ujjaini, Saptarshi Mukherjee, Kaushiki Chakraborty with her son and other stars at the music release function of Hawa Bodol in South City mall, Kolkata. It was one of the finest and definitely most awaited functions for the Bengali movie lovers as Param has now become synonymous with new age experimental cinema and has made an indisputable place for himself in the industry.
The crowd in the mall was mesmerized with the grand performance of singers like Saptarshi Mukherjee, Ujjaini and the others who form a part of the team. The album has a heady mix of singers from different genres. While there is K Mohan from the band Agnee, there is also classical vocalist Arijit Singh and Vishal Dadlani from Bollywood. The mere selection of singers and the composer makes this album a promising one. Few songs like “Ghore ferar gaan” and the Rabindra sangeet “More Bhabonare” are sure hits and as a Param fan says in his Tweet “my day starts with Ghore ferar gaan” many more of such encouraging comments are sure to come Param’s way. The movie Hawa Bodol has five songs that are written by Prosen and Anshumanan.
Along with the Bengali movie lovers, the Crew members of Hawa Bodol are also quite hopeful about the movie. Well, the trailers indeed looked interesting!! The movie stars Parambrata, Rudranil Ghosh, Raima Sen and “Tollywood’s newest definition for cute”, Neha Panda. Parambrata in this directorial debut of his has made a movie with a completely new concept and is not just hopeful but confident that it will create ripples in the industry. The storyline of the movie revolves round two school time friends changing each other’s lives when they come across each other. With the industry eagerly waiting to see Param’s directorial refinement, Param’s resolve to present just the best quite reflects in the movie.
Just as all of Kolkata is, we too are waiting with bated breath to treat ourselves to this new age movie.
