Hello Kolkata Bioscope 2013: A short film festival

Short Films Screening

‘Hello Kolkata’ has recently organized ‘Hello Kolkata Bioscope 2013’ – a Fiesta of Short Films.  Thirteen delightful short films of various genres, presented by both amateurs & professionals, have made their way onto the screen in front of a packed audience at Boys Own Library Hall on 28 May. The day-long film festival evoked quite a few surprises in terms of filmisation as experimentation was the order of the day. While some films bordered on the absurdity of interlinking ghost with weak & unborn, others showcase corporate culture, while still others weave religion with reality.

Organizing spokesperson & Filmmaker Asish Basak  remarked that ‘Bioscope-2013’ is a ‘Hello Kolkata’ initiative to connect to maximum number of technical experts & artists, whom we can involve in our upcoming movies, ‘Spy-Cam’ (on cyber-crime) & ‘Make-Over’ (on Maoists), after the imminent release of the very controversial ‘M-FACTOR’- his first film on Islam in India.

Asish Basak further added that this fest will be followed up by ‘Hello Kolkata Kids’ Fiesta’ with short films on kids on 29-30 June, 2013.
