Mumtaz Sorcar, the most versatile Tollywood beauty will be seen in a completely different avatar in SHESH ANKER KHELA, the debut venture of JOYSREE FILMS (a House of Creations). Mumtaz here plays the role of a tough cop who is investigating the horrifying murder of a young couple in the quiet, hilly and serene town of Mirik.
The 7 year old daughter of the murdered couple goes missing and is being hunted by the murderers extensively. Shilajit, who plays the role of a tea estate owner finds the girl unconscious, lying on the middle of a road and brings her home and takes good care of her but the little girl who had witnessed the murder is in a state of tremendous shock and has even lost her memory due to the trauma of seeing the brutal murder of her parents.
Why were they murdered and why are the murderers hunting down the little girl?? Will they kill everyone who is trying to give her shelter until they get her?? No one knows the answer to these questions and that’s where Mumtaz as IPS officer Aditi Basu comes in the picture.
Mumtaz is literally the hero in the film as she will be seen performing every act of bravado that we have always associated with the leading men in films. She will fight the criminals, investigate the incident and hunt down the killers.
“For the 1st time in Bengali cinema a Bengali actress portrays the character of an IPS officer and does severe action scenes equivalent to any hero”, says the movie’s fight master Judo –Ramu.
