Mir said “Many people questioned me why the name is Dil Diye Douroben. We generally run with the help of our legs. But the main fact is that it takes your heart to come and support such a cause on a Sunday morning. Your legs are not enough. Hence the name has been given”. The theme song “Dil Diye Douroben” had been written by Srijato and Usha Uthup has lent her voice to the song. Among the people who ran the marathon, there were wheel chair runners, two eighty year old ladies, four children from the spastic school and a group of cyclists also. Sonam Kapoor had pledged her support for the cause. However the actress could not turn up as she had shooting assignments in Bikaner.

The enthusiasm of the people of the city showed from the huge turnout of people on a cold winter morning. This amply proves that the people in the city surely have their hearts in the right place.
