Upcoming Bangla Film Tui Jibon: Abir Chatterjee And Rahul May Play Cameos In The Film



A drawing room scene with Sumi and her parents unfolds. Sumi tells her parents that she aspires to become a model. Sumi’s father is spellbound with his eldest daughter’s decision. He is a teacher by profession and is highly respected. His daughter becoming a model is a cause of much concern for him. This is the scene shot at Select House, Narendrapur from the upcoming Bangla film Tui Jibon. The film has been written and directed by Pralay Shankar.

“Shantanu hails from a middle class family. He lives in a mess which is run by Gopal Da. Shantanu works as an agent in an insurance company. He falls in love with Aniruddhu Babu’s elder daughter Sumi. Sumi dreams of becoming a model. To fulfill her dreams Shantanu tries his level best. He contacts with the various ad agency companies and pushes Sumi forward to achieve her dreams. What happens next is what the audience will have to go to the hall to watch” said director Pralay Shankar.


Prathama Ray, Papiya Debrajan, Bodhisattva Majumdar, Ritam Chakraborty will be seen playing important roles in the film. Abir Chatterjee and Rahul have been contacted by the director to play guest roles in the film. Bodhisattva Majumdar said “I play the role of Sumi’s father who is a retired school master. Crisis occurs in his life when his elder daughter wants to become a model. This is a common story that you will find around you”. The actor praised the newcomers for their patience at learning something new in acting. Papiya Debrajan who plays the role of the heroine’s mother “I play the role of a typical mother from a middle class family. When her husband goes against her daughter’s decision of becoming a model, she also supports him. But in her heart, she is torn between her husband and her daughter, as she loves her daughter equally”. Papaya Debrajan is also busy with other Bangla films like Bachchan and Ei Prothom Kache Esechi.


Anirban Ray will be composing the music of this upcoming film. Arijit Singh, Anwesha, Shaan and Kunal Ganjawala will be lending their voices to the songs in this film. The film will be shot in various parts of the city and also in North Bengal.

The director is hoping to release the film just before the Durga Puja.
