It is all in the genes !!… The law of inheritance of characteristics has been proven long back by researchers but it is on April 11 that the Bengali cine goers will get to experience this phenomenon. I say this because the New Bengali movie from the house of Shree Venkatesh Films, Chirodini Tumi Je Amar 2 is one that has given a new platform to some extraordinarily talented young actors all of whom are the progeny of already established actors of Tollywood as well as highly revered musicians.
‘Phande Podiya Boga Kaande Re’ director Soumik Chatterjee has tried to present an innocent love story with an element of thrill intricately woven in the plot. It is the director along with the actors whose efforts we will get to judge when the movie releases, as the entire outcome, as was said by the director is set to be the result of meticulous planning, lots of practice and complete dedication. Shot with a 5D camera, as was evident from the trailer, this new Bengali film retains its originality while maintaining a subtle glamour quotient throughout, which is sure to be a treat to the eyes of the viewers.
The movie revolves around an innocent village lad Bhanu who comes to the city at a very young age in order to fend for his family and owed to circumstances and the evil doings of his employers, is totally detached from his kin owed to which he is left totally wasted. It is after Bhanu gathers himself and starts living a normal life that he is completely bowled over by Jyoti and starts doing things that any dreamy eyed young man in love would. Bhanu’s pursuits are on when Jyoti’s life takes an untoward turn. What happened to Jyoti and will Jyoti live to love Bhanu is what the makes the rest of the story which you must go to the theaters to find out.
The movie stars Arjun Chakroborty and Urmila Mohanta as the lead pair and supporting the development of the plot are actors Riddhi Sen, Bihu Mukherjee, Kharaj Mukherjee, Manasi, Ena Saha and others, all of whom will be seen essaying ‘different from the usual’ roles.
The movie along with being an intellectual and visual treat is also a treat to the ears as it has Jeet Ganguli as the music director who has beautifully used the voices of Arijit Singh, Zubeen Garg and Suha Khan to create soulful numbers that are bound to cling on to the audience days after leaving the theaters. The Arijit Singh Song “Eka Ekela Mon’ is one that the viewers going to watch this movie will specially look forward to as it has already become a hit with the masses.
Movies like this are attempted only once in a while and it is only production houses like Shree Venkatesh Films who show the courage to back such challenging projects and we are quite confident that the Bengali Cine goers will not let the Box Office have another slack week and give the producers enough reasons to celebrate the Bengali New Year with much gaiety. The movie Chirodini Tumi Je Amar 2 promises to be another landmark Bengali Film and the audience should rush to the theaters post the movie’s release to experience a completely new phenomenon.
