Moore Avenue Music Conference Supported by Tollywood Actress Rituparna Sengupta



It was eight years ago that The Moore Avenue Music Conference (MAMC) was started. In its 8th consecutive year, the musical extravaganza was celebrated with great musical performances at Thyagaraj Hall, Raja Basanta Roy Road. The event was organized by Picasso Entertainments. The Moore Avenue Music Conference was graced with the presence of Tollywood actress Rituparna Sengupta, Haimanti Shukla, Debasish Kumar (MIC), Indrani Sen, Srabani Sen and Riddhi Bandopadhyay.


Moore Avenue Music Conference was a great way of enriching and nourishing the musical memories of the people attending the musical conference for the past few years. It gave one to see the performances of some of the greatest musical personalities in Indian classical music and dance traditions. Over the past 7 years this stage has witnessed some of the greatest performances of all times & has been honored by the presence of music stalwarts like Late Pt. Manas Chakraborty, Ustad Rashid khan, Pt. Viswamohan Bhatt, Pt. Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, Pt. Tanmoy Bose and many more.


This year MAMC has become even richer with the presence of Maestros like, Pt. Kumar Bose, Pt. Kushal Das, Sri Abhijit Banerji, Prof. Mohon Singh, Partha Sarathy (sarod), Indrani Mukherjee, Ruchira Panda, Alokparna Guha, Allarakha Kalavant and many more, who made the musical journey  memorable for all. The first day saw the performances by Alokparna Guha (Dance- Katthak), Indrani Mukherjee (Vocal), Pt. Kumar Bose (Tabla)  with Pt Kushal Das(Sitar). The second day the audience witnessed the performances of Allarakha Kalawant (Sarengi Solo),Ruchira Panda (Vocal), Partho Sarathi (Sarod), Prof Mohan Singh (Vocal).

The Baithaki ambience of the musical evening heightened the enjoyment and also increased their knowledge about the various traditions in the Indian Classical music tradition.
