The first look of the Dev-Shrabanti-Sayantika starrer Bindaas was unveiled at Park Hotels recently. The event saw the presence of the director Rajib Biswas in the presence of the lead trio.
The first look of the film is interesting. Dev looks his casual self with a sickle in his hand and in the guise of a villager. When commenting on his look and about the film, the Tollywood hero said “Srikant Mohta was desperately searching for a title for the film. After much search he did not find anything substantial. The thought then suddenly struck him that how was I so Bindaas or rather cool in reel and real life. Hence the name of the film is Bindaas”.
The story revolves around two villages Keshpur and Gorbeta. Dev has a double role in the film. One is a simple villager and the other is that of a foreign returned boy. The role of the father has been enacted by Chiranjeet Chakraborty. The character of Dev wants to unite both the villages and end violence in the villages.
“The film has a social message especially for all those places in West Bengal where violence is prevalent. I was reminded of the violence in Keshpur and Gorbeta when I started working on this movie. it is due to the character of Dev that the violence ends in the two villages. The film has a strong anti-violence theme” said director Rajib Biswas.
Sayantika will be seen essaying the role of Kajol who returns back to the village after completing her studies abroad.
Shrabanti will be seen in the role of Anjali. “I play a cute and sweet character, the ones I am usually associated with very much. Anjali is an orphan and grows up in the house of Dev” said the pretty actress.
With the film slated for release during Eid, one can expect some blockbuster action-love-drama scenes from this film.
