Arjun, a dashing and hardworking police inspector is seen strolling lazily on the Maidan race course with his physically challenged son Abhimanyu. If you are wondering what is so special about a father and a son spending time with each other then let me tell you that Arjun is Prasenjit Chatterjee and Abhimanyu is Arya. This is a scene from the shooting of Raja Chanda’s next Kolkata Bengali Movie Force.
Force will see Prosenjit playing the role of an encounter specialist for the first time. He also happens to be a single father. “The film is extremely realistic and I have an interesting role in the film. I play a tough encounter specialist for the first time, who is torn between his work and his responsibility towards his son, who has lost his mother at a very young age. The relation between Arjun and his son is one the main USP of the film. Bengali film makers in the recent times have shown the courage to make pragmatic films which will have an appeal among the masses and the critics alike. The film is also special as I will be pairing with my wife Arpita on-screen after fourteen years” said the actor.
Arpita Chatterjee plays the role of Lavanya, who is a teacher by profession. She gets emotionally drawn towards the single child and provides him the comfort that he misses at home.
“I directed Bumba da (Prasenjit) and Arpita in an ad film and from then on I have been harboring the dream of working with the duo in a film. both of them are perfectionists and I conceived the script keeping this duo in mind” said Raja Chanda who was ecstatic about working with Tollywood Hero Prosenjit Chatterjee.
Produced by Essel Vision productions, Force will be shot extensively in various parts of Kolkata and Mandarmoni.
