“The film is essentially a love story which has a strong women empowerment issue at the backdrop. The film has Abhijit Bhattacharya and Pujarini Ghosh as Neel and Chitra where Neel is an NRI and Chitra is a college student. They both fall in love but the society plays the villain and comes up to disturb the peace in their lives. What happens next is the audience will have to wait and watch as the elder sister of Chitra, Chandrima breaks her shackles from her conservative surroundings and steps forward for the empowerment of women” said director Abhigyan Mukherjee.
Sudeshna Roy who is better known as director having directed super hits like Jodi Love Dile Na Prane and Teen Yaari Kotha plays the role of the aunt to Chitra and Chandrima. “I play the role of the aunt of the sisters. She is non-Bengali and modern in her outlook. They do not have a father or a mother and I act like their guardian. They look up to me and are inspired by my character. My character is a support for them. This is a character which is close to my heart as I also support people. I guess this is the reason why I was cast in the film” said Sudeshna Roy.

What happens next is what the film is all about. I was the last minute entry in the cast. Abhigyan had been looking for Chitra for quite some time. I gave the audition and I was selected instantly and the next day I was off for shooting in North Bengal” said Pujarini Ghosh.
