Life in Park Street famed director Raaj Mukherjee started the shooting of his next film which is a suspense comedy titled “Hatath Ekdin” at a flat located in Survey Park. Actress Rachana Banerjee, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Biswanath Basu, Locket Chatterjee, Paran Bandopadhyay and director Raaj Mukherjee were present at the shooting location of this film when the Sholoana Bangaliana team met them. The climax scene of the which shows the photographer’s wife’s sudden entry into the house to find her husband busy in a photo shoot was shot at the location.
Hatath Ekdin is a suspense comedy revolving around a husband and wife. Their life takes a turn when the wife suspects the photographer husband of having an extra-marital affair with another lady who is a wannabe model-actress.
Biswanath Basu plays the role of the fashion photographer Saheb in the film. “Though Saheb loves his wife, she still suspects him. What happens as a result of her suspicions is shown in the film” said the actor. The actor is also busy shooting for Swapan Saha’s Cocktail, Atanu Ghosh’s Abby Sen and a film by Swarup Bose.
The Tumi Je Amar Host, actress Rachana Banerjee plays the role of Nivedita, a wannabe model-actress. “Nivedita wants to make it big in the film industry. She approaches the photographer to make a portfolio for her. However the wife comes back and on seeing her in the house, she is enraged” said the actress. The actress who has worked with Raaj Mukherjee before complimented the director on maintaining a cool mind with the artists. “He does not react even if we are doing a scene badly. He is a cool minded director. The amount of fun we are having on the sets is immense. It looks like we are having a picnic everyday” added the actress.
Tota Roy Chowdhury plays the role of inspector Subhojit Mitra in the film. “A murder takes place in the adjoining flat and I am out to investigate the matter. However to carry on with my investigation, I come to the flat of the fashion photographer” said the actor.
Raaj Mukherjee wants to give a social message with the help of this film. The message that the director wants to convey is that suspicion is a very bad habit and can lead to the destruction of many healthy relationships. The director also added that this is not the typical hero-heroin genre of films.
The music of the film is by Rohan Ganguly and the story has been written by Jaideep Mukherjee.
