We are so busy with our day to day life that we hardly have the time to sit and listen to music. And even if we have the time, we hardly listen to the traditional music since we are more interested in international and film music. In a bid to introduce the traditional music to the listeners, Singer Lopamudra Mitra and Kalikaprasad Bhattacharjee of Band Dohar took the initiative to organize this root music festival titled Sahaj Parav. This festival is a bid to enhance the knowledge of the people about the root music forms which are so inherent to our culture and about which we are hardly aware of.
