Singer, composer Prashant’s debut Bengali album ‘Ghumiyechhe Sohor’ consisting of modern songs was recently released in the august presence of musical stalwarts Girija Devi, Hariharan and Usha Uthup at Story.
With this album, Prashant promises to touch the hearts of many listeners with his soulful voice and great compositions in this Bengali album. Comprising of nine soulful tracks and one instrumental number, the lyrics of this album has been penned down by Srijato. The songs in the album are Dak Eshechhe Dure Jaoyar, Khule Rakha Chithera, Phire Ashe Sritira Sei Rodera Meghera, Ghumera Hete Jaye, Rater Tarae, Theme Aashe Keno Ke Eta Jaane, Ghumiyeche Sohor Ratree Nijhum & Akhono Dure Royeche Sokal. There is a Hindi version of the song Ghumiyeche Sohor in the album titled Choti Choti Bate. The album also consists of a Solo Violin version of Ghumiyechhe Sohor.
The tracks in the album narrate the feeling of an individual staying abroad. The person becomes nostalgic when he thinks about his days back at home and questions his decision about leaving his homeland.
