The music launch of the upcoming Bengali film 27 B, Beadon Street took place recently in the presence of Sanghamitra Banerjee, Biswanath Chakraborty, Gautam Sushmit, Master Subhom, Rajesh Sharma, Soma Dey and others.
The film is about a boy Joy whose mother Sulekha died at a very small age. This makes his father Abhinash depressed and sad. He stops his business activities and resorts to drinking. Seeing his plight, his friend Samar takes him to a red light area to help him get over the depression. He meets Sumitra there who looks very much like his deceased wife. He treats her much like his wife. She gives birth to a girl child who they name Rikta. However the two decide to give the child a better life. They decide to keep her away from the world of prostitution. They move her to a boarding school. What happens next?
The music in the film is very vital in carrying forward the narrative of the story, feels music director Pinayk Bhattacharya. Subhamita, Nilakhi Bhattacharjee, Sujoy Bhowmick, Aditi and Manisha have lent their voices to the songs in the film. The lyrics have been penned down by Gautam Sushmit.
Soumitra Chatterjee, Debraj Roy, Sanghamitra Banerjee, Tamal Roy Chowdhury, Bodhisatya Majumdar, Rita Koyral, Soma Chakraborty, Himadri Das, Ranjan Bhattacharjee, Chandan Dey, Soma Dey, Master Subhom and others will be seen essaying out pivotal roles in the upcoming Bengali film.
With a stellar cast and an engaging storyline, 27B, Beadon Street is slated for release soon.
