“Aamar Aami is a story of ordinary people. We all have wishes. Some of them are known to us consciously while some remain on the sub conscious level” said debutant director Orko Sinha who has not only directed the film but has also produced the film and penned down the lyrics of the songs too. When questioned about the pressures that he had to face due to this multiple role handling, the director said candidly that he enjoyed the art of film making so much that he wanted to be a part of the entire process. Working with some of the biggest names in the industry has been a huge help for the director. “I have been able to learn from them a lot and this has helped during the film making process immensely”.
Aamar Aami has seven tacks which have been composed by debutant music director duo Kabir and Shiba. Rupankar, Dibyendu, Rupam, Jayati, Anupam Roy have lent their songs to the songs in the film. A Rabindrasangeet Khelaghar Badhte legechi has also been used in the film.
Abir Chatterjee may have not acted in the film but he has extended his full support to the new director. While speaking with Sholoana Bangaliana, the actor said “The first day Orko called, I was quite doubtful about the prospects of this project and thought that I will listen for a few minutes and then give some excuse and rush for the next meeting scheduled. However few minutes into the script reading session and I was transfixed. I postponed the next meeting. The story is very modern without any stereotypes which I liked immensely. I was asked to play a part in the film but due to prior commitments I could not act in the film. However I extend my full support to the new director and the debutant music directors. The industry needs fresh blood and these young creative individuals will help in doing so”.
Debutant director Orko Sinha is confident about the film and team Sholoana Bangaliana wishes the director all the best for his maiden venture which hits screens on September 2014.
