Picasso entertainment celebrated a two daylong music festival featuring some of the greatest musical stalwarts of the Bengali music industry. The stalwarts were from different musical background and they performed much to the delight of the assembled audience. The festival took place at ICCR.
Remembering the auspicious day of 22 Shraban, the first day of the music festival Picasso paid their homage to the Bard Rabindranath Tagore. Picasso paid their homage through their exclusive brand new production ‘Swapne Pawa Badal Hawa’ featuring Srabani Sen, Lopamudra Mitra & Joy Goswami for the first time together. This production showcased gems from Tagore by Srabani & Lopamudra besides recitation by eminent poet Joy Goswami. The trio created magic on the stage with their soulful rendering of the songs and the poems.
Lopamudra who had sang one of the poems written by the poet Joy Goswami titled Benimadhob felt it was a wonderful occasion to share stage with the talented writer. Joy Goswami also highlighted on the fact that it is Bratati Bandpadhyay and Lopamudra who have been helping the Bengali poets in reaching out more to the people.
The soulful presentation was blessed with gems from Tagore as Gaaner Bhitor Diye Jakhan Dekhi ( Srabani ), Mone Holo Jeno Phire Elem ( Lopamudra ), Kandale Tumi More ( Srabani ), Madhugandhe Bhora ( Duet ), Hridaye Mandrilo Damaru Guru Guru ( Duet ), Pagla Hawar Badal Dine ( Srabani ), Badal Baul Bajay ( Lopamudra ), Rimjhim Ghana Ghana Re ( Duet ) and so on.
The two daylong festival was an event to remember for the music lovers in the city of Kolkata.
