Raghab Chatterjee who has lent his voice to many songs in many films and music albums completed his fifteen years in the music industry. To commemorate this long journey, Asha Audio came up with a unique music album Songfusion. This album is a blend of Classical songs with the Indian and the Western instruments. Ustad Rashid Khan, percussionist Bickram Ghosh, music directors Joy Sarkar, Indradip Dasgupta, Raja Narayan Deb and Debojyoti Mishra were present at the event.
Raghab began his journey in music at the tender age of nine. He played the guitar then. It was in 1999 that his first album Bhorer Alo was launched. After the success of his first album, he did not have to look back as he received same success in the following albums in Hindi and Bengali. Patal Ghor, Tere Naam, Raincoat, Pareenita, Baishe Srabon, Bhooter Bobhitshot are some of the films in which he has lent his melodious voice. He is also a master performer on stage and has performed in USA, Hong Kong and other countries in the world. Kalakar Award, Uttam Kumar Award, RD Burman Award, HMV Golden Talent Contest Winner are some of the awards that he has received in the fifteen long years of his music career.
Songfusion is such an album in which the singer has used ragas like Mallar, Pahari, Pilu, Maand with new age sounds. The songs in the album have a unique blend of the Indian and the Western instruments. The album consists of six songs. Raghab has composed five of them. Prattyus has composed one song in this album. Amitava Bhattacharya and Prosen have composed the lyrics of the songs in the album.
