666, as we all know is the Devil’s number. Keeping in mind this aspect debutant director Aziz Zee has titled his debut film as Plot Number 666. Mohammad Nazim of Saath Nibhana Saathiya fame and Sanchita were recently in the city to address the press and give an insight into this New Bollywood film.
“The film is based on a real life incident which happened about fifteen years ago with a group of young people who went on a tour together. The film has horror elements and also speaks about friendship. My character is one who can foresee the events that will take place in future” said Mohammad Nazim while speaking with Sholoana Bangaliana. When asked whether it is a good idea to sign up a horror film as his launch film, the actor said that it is all about luck. One can do a film with Yash Raj and still not be successful. One can on the other hand do a film with a not so big banner and still achieve success.
“The director selected me as he thought I have the personality and the looks to play this character. That is solely the reason why he chose me for the role” added the actor. The actor who also plays the role of Ahem in the immensely popular serial Saath Nibhana Saathiya had a tough time adjusting his serial commitments with the film shoot. Initially the director of the serial refused. He then approached the channel authorities who responded positively to his request. He used to shoot for the serial in the morning and at night for the film. The actor termed the schedule as “Hectic and tiresome”.
The actor also shared a real life horror experience too. “Once I had gone to visit my sister. I was returning back on a cycle to her house. Suddenly I saw a lady in white dress waving at me. I ignored and crossed her. Then I turned back to see and lo the lady was gone. It was later that someone told me it was a ghost” said the actor.
Debutant Sanchita will be seen playing the role of Soniya in the film. The actress described her character as tomboyish. Despite knowing that the film was a horror film, she did get scared enacting in some of the scenes.
The USP of the film according to Nazim is the short running time (1hour and 30 minutes), gripping and engaging plot and good music.
The music of the film has been composed by Akash Das and Shibani Kashyap.
The film is slated for release soon.
