Unheard Tagore Songs in Bengali Audio Music Album Hiyar Majhe
The album has eight tracks. Amar Hiyar majhe, Megh bolece, Nil anjan ghono, Brojo manic die, Dekho dekho such tara, Mor bhabonare, Modhur modhur dhoni and Jodi tor daak shune are the songs which have been included in this music album.
“This is my second album. The first album was released in 2011 titled Robi Loho Anjoli. I have been always inspired by Tagore and hence the album on Tagore songs. Incidentally the first song that I learnt was Hiyar Majhe. The listeners also requested me to include the song and hence the song was included. This later on became the title of the album. There was a gap in bringing out the second album because there was a difference in my thought process between the two albums. The first album was based on traditional Rabindrasangeet while the second album is more experimental type” said Atreyi Majumdar while speaking with Sholoana Bangaliana.
Speaking at the occasion singer Soumitro said “This album is refreshing as it contains a lot of songs which have not been heard before. Even I had not heard them before. The initiative is a good one and I congratulate Atreyi for this unique thought of selecting songs of Tagore which have not been heard of before”.
Music director Gaurab Chatterjee asked the listeners to buy audio albums or opt for the paid downloads which will help the artist in the long run. This will also enable to stop piracy.
Reasonably priced at Rs 130, the album will be a refreshing treat for your ears.
