The music launch of the upcoming Bengali film Aakarshan took place at The Lake Club in the august presence of Rituparna Sengupta, Rupam Islam, Parama, Samadarshi Datta and others.
Written and directed by Debraj Sinha, the story of the film Aakarshan revolves around two central characters namely Sayak and Tora. Despite the fact that he has a loving family and is financially well off, he gets into a relationship with his office colleague Tora. For Sayak, the relationship did not have any emotional side to it. His main aim was to satisfy his lust and physical needs. After getting his physical needs satisfied, he leaves her. This makes Tora heart broken. She develops a friendship with Arnab who helps her out of this emotional crisis. What happens next is what the film is all about.
Speaking about the film, director Debraj Sinha said “The film Aakarshan highlights about the difference in conflicting emotions in humans. Apart from the positive emotions, negative emotions also reside simultaneously within their consciousness. With the help of this film, we want to reach out to the people and let them know that they can dispel their problems and lead a life of optimism too”.
The music of this upcoming Bengali film Aakarshan has been composed by Rupam Islam and Allan A.O. Rupam Islam, despite focusing on his private albums also have been composing music for other films too. “Music is an important part in the film and will only help in carrying forward the story. The songs blend easily with the story” said Rupam Islam while speaking with Sholoana Bangaliana.
The film is made under the banner of Shivam Production 2011 and produced by Tanuja Sinha.
The film is slated for release in September.
