Title Launch of Bengali Films Tollywood and Kolkata Cops
The film Tollywood is a musical and colorful journey of four teenagers to the Tollywood industry. They will be getting a lot of experiences which will be filmy just like the films. The four teenagers will also be able to meet eminent technicians and directors in the process. This film will fall in the genre of comedy thriller.
The other film Kolkata Cops is about some international criminals who try to make an infrastructure in Kolkata. How the Kolkata police uncovers this deadly mission and saves the city is what the film is all about.
The script and the direction of both the films will be done by Satirtha Dey.
Speaking with Sholoana Bangaliana at the occasion, actress Alivia Sarkar said “I play the role of Jhilik Chowdhury in the film Tollywood. She is a fun loving teenager who comes to Kolkata to fulfill her dreams. She faces a lot of hurdles to fulfill her dreams. I did not have to prepare myself for the role as I am a bit like the character in real life. When the shoot will begin, I will simply come and just be myself in front of the camera”.
Director Satirtha Dey highlighted about the films on the occasion. He said “Tollywood has a filmy effect. It has a murder mystery with a filmy flavor to it. Young people after they pass out their twelve standard examinations often become engaged in one passion or the other. What happens when they seriously want to follow their passion? This is what Tollywood is all about. Kolkata Cops on the other hand is a much more serious film”.
Tollywood’s shoot will start after the kali puja while Kolkata Cops will go on floors in December.
