Aniket Chattopadhyay’s upcoming Bengali film “Janla Die Bou Palalo” a romantic comedy recently had its music release ceremony in the presence of the director Aniket Chattopadhyay, the star cast and the musicians who have given the melody to this fun film.
The music of this film has been composed by Savvy. Speaking at the occasion Savvy said “I always had the inclination to experiment with music and the director has given me enough scope to experiment with the music in this film. The songs in the film are all situation oriented. There is a good mix of soulful tracks along with some foot tapping numbers too”. The lyrics of this fun film have been composed by Prosen and Riddhi. Some of the singers who have lent their voice to the songs in the film include Abhijit Barman (Pota), Anupam Roy, Akriti Kakkar, Kartick Das Baul, Srinibas and Timir Biswas. The film has five tracks. The use of the Baul music adds depth to the music in the film.
Timir Biswas who had sung the song “Prem Nokuldana” in the film, while speaking with Sholoana Bangaliana said “The song has a history to it. We had sung this song a long time back and this song has now been used in Aniket da’s film. This is great opportunity for me”.
The story of the film is about Upa Gupta (Arjun Chakraborty) who wants to be a singer which as in most cases is not agreeable to his parents. Mimi (Amrita Chattopadhyay) is a student of economics Honours and in love with Upa and is it happens in most love stories, her parents do not agree to the match and want her to marry someone of their choice. As a result both Mimi and Upa Gupta run away from their homes. A local goon follows the two of them. This situation becomes complicated when a hard core criminal runs away at the same time. What happens next is what the film will answer.
The film produced by Brij Jalan under the banners of Jalan International Films Pvt Ltd is slated for release on the 17th of October. Do not miss Janla Die Bou Palalo as it promises two long hours of great fun and excitement for the viewers.
