Bengali Music Albums Anchal and Rupkothar Tila Weave a Musical Imagery of the Emotions of Women and the Society



Two music albums titled Anchal and Rupkothar Tila were recently released by Raga Music at Floatel. Present at the music launch ceremony were Agniva Bandopadhyay, Madhabi Mukherjee, Urmimala Basu, Jagannath Basu, Antara Das, Kalyan Sen Borat, Partha Ghosh Dastidar, Arindam Basu, Dolon Roy, Priyankar, Partha and Priyanka Das Karmakar.

Bengali Audio Music Album Anchal and Rupkothar Tila Released

The first music album Anchal has been conceptualized and written by Kaushik Sengupta. The music has been directed by Kalyan Sen Borat while the recitation has been done by Antara Das. The word Anchal signifies motherhood and also defines self-respect of a woman. The album portrays the several stages and states of mind of a mother. The album is also a tribute to the old lady who sells papad at the Rabindra Sadan area to fend for her family.


Speaking at the occasion Madhabi Mukherjee said “Both the albums are unique endeavors from Raga Music Company and I must congratulate them on making this wise selection of the topics for the CDs. The fact that they brought the old lady and made her do the ceremonious CD release is a wonderful gesture and an overwhelming feeling. They have indeed done a good job with the albums”.


Rupkothar Tila, the other music album which was released by Raga Music has been conceptualized and written by Priyanka. Dolon Roy, eminent Bengali actress has done the recitation for the album. The music album features around the eternal creation of Rabindranath Tagore’s Raktakarabi. The scenario and socio-economic infrastructure has been well portrayed in the novel which are still very significant.

The two music albums will surely be good purchases for your music collection and also de-stress you from the daily monotonous life.
