Keeping with traditions of the Yuletide and also to gear up for the upcoming festive season, Q- Court- the food court of Quest Mall organized a cake mixing party. The cake mixing was done in the presence of actress Sayani Datta and a group of underprivileged kids from Smile foundation. This was done to make the Children’s Day memorable for the kids.
Heaps of nuts, fruits, select spirits and liquors with chopped raisins, almonds, black currants, cashews, dates and cherries were the main attraction of this cake mixing ceremony. The actress along with the kids joined hands in the mixing of the ingredients on the occasion. This cake mix will be allowed to soak for some weeks after which the cakes will be made from the mix done.
Actress Sayani Datta said “This is a great initiative taken up by Global Kitchens Kolkata. This will be a good way of making the days of the kid’s special and also ushering in the festive spirit. I am happy to be a part of such a great initiative. A Christmas cake takes a lot of time to get all the flavors right. I think this cake mix with all the ingredients put in will make for some of the most delicious cakes for the people”.
The children from the Smile Foundation who not only helped in the cake mixing process but also feasted on good food and got gifts therefore had a great Children’s Day to remember for years to come.
