Mainak Bhaumik who has been surprising audiences with one stellar movie after another and was recently in news for the controversial Take One, is back yet again with the New Bengali Movie Kolkata Calling. The press conference of this upcoming film was recently held at The Park. The star cast and the director along with the producer Brij Jalan was present to address the press prior to the release of the movie.
“The story of the film Kolkata Calling is about the fast paced nature of today’s world where individuals are prone to instant things like casual flings, instant fame, instant gratification and so on. This has led to an increase in the tension and stress levels of parents. They want to protect their children from these issues and hence force them at times to opt for safe career choices. As a result differences of opinions come to the forefront. Parents feel that their child is some lost soul while the children see them as enemies. The film is about the youth who have the courage to dream about impossible dreams. They want to be remembered for their deeds and it is this spirit which is behind the inspiration of ‘Kolkata Calling’ said Mainak Bhaumik.
