Khaad (The Fall) directed by eminent Bengali director Kaushik Ganguly will be releasing nationally on 21st November. The film had a great success at the box office in West Bengal and is looking forward to the results it will achieve nationally. The film will be released in cities like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Baroda, Gurgaon and others.
The film Khaad is about sixteen different individuals who meet with a fatal bus accident. However despite the fall they survive miraculously and have to spend the night in a deserted valley. Forgetting their socio-economic status, their humanity comes to the forefront and becomes their primary identity. In the process, their darkest secrets and true selves come to the forefront. The sixteen individuals understand the value of life and friendship.
The screenplay and dialogues of Khaad is by Kaushik Ganguly while the DOP has been handled by Soumik Halder. Tanmoy Chakraborty is the art director and the music has been done by Indraadip Dasgupta. Mimi Chakraborty, Pallavi Chatterjee, Kamaleswar Mukherjee, Kaushik Ganguly, Tridha, Tanushree Chakraborty, Lily Chakraborty, Rudronil Ghosh have played pivotal roles in this film.
Kaushik Ganguly who has tasted success with this film regionally also has good news in store. His film Chotoder Chobi has been selected at the Indian Panorama at IFFI, Goa.
