To celebrate the occasion of Children’s Day, STORY has started a unique initiative titled “Share a Story” which aimed at book donation for the underprivileged children. The response from the people was overwhelming as a huge number of people submitted many books. The books collected were handed over to the underprivileged children of Future Hope and Mukti Rehabilitation Centres by Mr Partha Chatterjee, Hon’ble Minister of Parliamentary Affairs & Education, Government Of West Bengal, Mr Sovan Chatterjee, Hon’ble Mayor of Kolkata, Ms Agnimitra Paul, renowned fashion designer, Ms Arunima Ghosh, celebrated actress and Mr Sidharth Pansari, Chief STORY teller STORY and Managing Director, Primarc Group.

The Share a Story initiative was started in the presence of Prasenjit Chatterjee and Arya about a week back. Social platforms were selected for the encouraging of the people for submission of the books. The initiative received such a great response that the bookstore has increased the time till 22nd of November 2014. The books were sorted into various categories before they were handed over to the kids.

With the help of this initiative, the group is trying to inculcate reading habits amongst the children. The book contributors were given a certificate from the book store. The donator also received a coupon which gave them a discount of twenty percent on books and five percent discount on toys and stationery. The participants also were given a chance to take part in a lucky draw where the winners can win a sum of Rs. 1500.

Share a Story therefore was a great initiative for the underprivileged kids to get accustomed to reading and enhance their knowledge.
