Rajdeep Sardesai’s Book Launched

The name Rajdeep Sardesai will ring a bell in the minds of many readers for sure. A popular news presenter and an experienced journalist, Rajdeep Sardesai was the Editor-in-Chief of IBN18 Network which includes CNN-IBN and IBN7. He has also worked with the Times of India for six long years and was the city editor of the Mumbai edition. The journalist was in the city for an interactive session and also to release his book titled “2014- The election that changed India”.

The book “2014- the election that changed India” according to the journalist turned writer tracks the story of the crucial election which changed the face of the Indian political scenario. The elections saw the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the destruction of the ruling Congress Party.

Speaking at the occasion Rajdeep Sardesai said “Narendra Modi has a good sense of marketing his skills. He does not like questions and hates criticism. He is authoritarian by nature, which is his flipside. If you observe him closely you will understand that he criticizes the media but also uses the media when he so requires. He is present at the right time at the right place. This is what is advantageous for him too. What Kejriwal could not capitalize to his advantage, Modi capitalized on the issue. The youth of India wanted hope and change and Modi provided them that. Hence he won”.

Rajdeep also highlighted on the fact that Mamata Banerjee is one of those street fighting politicians who can perform best under those circumstances. “She is not content to sit back in office behind some files. That is what I feel” said Rajdeep Sardesai.

The book has been priced at Rs. 599 and will be available at all leading book stores in the city. To know what the journalist has penned in the book, make sure you grab a copy of the book at the earliest.
