Watch Anurag Kashyap’s Ugly only if you can take Meaningful Cinema



Anurag Kashyap’s recently released film Ugly focuses on the darker aspects of life. The film had been receiving good and positive responses from the audiences and critics alike at the various film festivals.

The film Ugly is about Bose who is the Additional Commissioner of Police. He is an extremely straightforward person who is immensely professional too. These lines get blurred in his personal life. His wife Shalini is an alcoholic and is clinically depressed. Shalini was earlier married to an actor Rahul and she had a daughter named Kali from her first marriage. The film story begins on a Saturday when as per the court custody rules Rahul is allowed to meet his daughter Kali. Rahul meets his friend and leaves back Kali in the car. He comes back after some time only to find her missing from the car. The film goes back and forth in time to dig into their lives and also continue the search for Kali.

Ugly though is a dark psychological thriller is also an intense emotional drama. Ronit Roy as Bose, Tejaswini Kolhapure as Shalini, Rahul Bhatt as Rahul, Anshika Shrivastava as Kali, Vineet Kumar Singh as Chaitanya, Girish Kulkarni as Jadhav, Surveen Chawla as Rakhi and Siddhant Kapoor as Siddhant will be seen playing out important roles in the film.

Produced by Phantom Films and Dar Motion Pictures Ltd., ‘Ugly’ released on December 26, 2014 and has been receiving rave reviews from the critics.
