The Minerva Theatre or the Binodini Theatre Repertory is a name which is known to the Kolkata theatre loving audience. However not many people are aware of the fact that a repertory theatre organization is established and run by a university-the Rabindra Bharati University. This is run not only in West Bengal but also in whole of Eastern India. This endeavor is fully supported by the West Bengal State Akademi of Dance Drama Music and Visual Arts.

West Bengal State Akademi of Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Arts and the Rabindra Bharati University Theatre Repertory has the basic aim of producing and presenting at least four non-proscenium plays and two proscenium plays every year. The theatre repertory seeks the co-operation and support of the theatre lovers in their efforts in meaningfully strengthening the relationship between people and theater.

The West Bengal State Akademi of Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Arts in association with the Rabindra Bharati University Repertory presented the assembled audience with a performance of the first show in the series.
