Ganesh Acharya, Maninder Singh, Nupur Shama and Vindi Acharya were present in the city for the promotion of the upcoming Hindi film Hey Bro. Directed by director Ajay Chandhok, the film has Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Prabhudeva, Prem Chopra, Mahi Gill and Govinda in special roles.
“I have not done the choreography nor have helped in the direction. I have just focused on the acting part in the film. I have concentrated on the role completely” said Ganesh Acharya. Ganesh Acharya plays the role of Gopi who learns that he has a twin brother. He sets out to find the twin brother who he thinks will be just like him, fat. But his twin is actually a police man who is just his opposite. What happens next is what the film all about.
“I am glad that Big B, Hrithik, Ajay, Akshay, Ranveer actually consented to perform in the song Birju. This song is a great treat for the audiences who will be able to get to see such major stars in one song. The director was initially tensed as to how I will get all the stars together. I convinced him and when I rang them up, they agreed” added Ganesh Acharya. Govinda plays the role of a drunkard in the film. “We have worked in numerous films together and when I asked Govinda to act in the film instead of dance, he readily agreed to it. The scene is hilarious and will have the audience laughing their hearts out” said Ganesh Acharya.
Nupur Sharma who is making her debut in this film in the role of Anjali described her character as a stubborn and strong girl who gets what she wants. She is a go-getter who is also very fearless, according to the actress.
The music has been composed by Nitin Arora and Sony Chandy. The cinematography is by Arun Mascarenhas.
The film is eyeing for release on the 27th of February.
