Now that women are increasingly suffering from the life threatening disease called breast cancer, director Jayashri Mukherjee has taken up this issue for her upcoming Bengali film Take Care.
The film Take Care revolves around a twenty seven year old media person working in Kolkata named Tista. Originally from North Bengal, Tista is full of life. She is happy and also an active individual. However she notices a lump one day in the upper part of her right breast. She consults the doctor who diagnoses it as malignant. She also discovers that her mother also died from the same disease and did not receive adequate treatment. Her boyfriend Ronit is a self-centered business person who is more interested in her physical charm rather than her mind. She decides to fight the battle against the deadly disease herself. Is Tista successful or does she succumb to the disease? This is what the film’s story is all about.
The DOP of the film is Souvik Basu while the sound designer is Tabu. The film is produced by Art Works. The film stars Paoli Dam, Rajesh Sharma, Pallavi Chatterji, Saheb Chatterji, Biswajit Chakravorty, Debraj Roy, Aloka Ganguly and Madhabi Mukherji in pivotal roles.
