Cutty Sark recently organized Culture Curry Big Adda session, supported by AIFDO. The event was graced with the presence of director Abhijit Guha, Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee, theatre director Usha Ganguly, Shankha Ghosh, Pallav Kitaniya, Ashok Vishwanathan and many other eminent dignitaries.
Culture Curry is known for promoting different kinds of art forms like music, films, theatre and painting. They help in providing a platform for the youth and also the upcoming talent to showcase their creativity. The evening began with the performance of a play titled Dooratwa. The play was performed by Z group theatre. The cast included Priya Saha Roy, Sujan Das and Sankhadeb Burman. The play has been adapted by independent film maker Shankha Ghosh.
The play was followed by the Big Adda session which was around the theme of “films, females and global society”. The four day Culture Curry Festival also included a painting exhibition by Naba Chakraborty, musical performance by Sraboni Roy and Shankhadeb Burman and a competitive short film festival as starter.
The winners of the competitive short film festival were also awarded prizes by the eminent personalities who were present on the occasion.
Festivals of this kind will surely give the fresh and young talent a platform to showcase their skills and be acknowledged.
