The Jorasanko concert Tagoriana: a Western Tribute to Tagore – consisted of Western classical art songs that have used Tagore’s poetry as the texts.  The music written for voice and piano, were all original music which had no affiliation to Tagore’s melodies.

The songs presented at the concert were composed by the following composers: John Alden Carpeneter (American), Frank Bridge (British), Franco Alfano (Italian), Karol Szymanowski (Polish, but the songs are in German), and Karim Al-Zand (American).
