Kolkata Restaurant Fish Fish Hosts Fish Food Festival

“I am a hard core fish lover. I hail from Dhaka, East Bengal. I eat fish during my lunch every day. This is my first visit to this exclusive fish serving restaurant. I have heard a lot about Fish Fish” said eminent actor Barun Chanda at the launch of Harie Jawa Machher Utsab at Fish Fish restaurant. The team of the upcoming Bengali film Belaseshe was also there to launch the menu.


The focus of this food festival is to focus on those varieties of fish which are no longer readily available like Mourola, Topse, Kholshe, Bele and such others. With this fish food festival, one will be able to bring back the quintessential manner of Bangaliana to the customers.


“We went to seven markets in Kolkata and have purchased the fishes for the customers. This has helped us in procuring thirteen different kinds of fishes for the customers. The fishes have been cooked in the traditional manner so as to bring back the flavor of the dishes cooked by our mothers and grandmothers” said Chef and co-owner of Fish Fish, Debashis Kundu.


Some of the dishes that will be available for the fish loving customers include Mini macher jhol, Dum mourola bhaja, Bans paturi, Pur bhora bhetkir jhal, Ilish macher pata pora, Ammkasondi koi and Topse macher path paturi.

The festival will continue till 30th April at Fish Fish. Make sure you head to Fish Fish with your friends and family members to relish the mouth watering fish dishes.
