In the august presence of Rituparna Sengupta, Shiboprasad Mukherjee, Nandita Roy, Indrani Dutta, Anupam Roy, Anindya Chattopadhyay, Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee and many others, the music launch of the soon to release film Belaseshe took place at South City Mall.
There are six songs in the film. Rabindra Sangeet, Lalon Geeti and modern songs have been included in this album. The title track of the film has been composed by Anupam Roy (which is also director Shiboprasad Mukherjee’s favorite). The songs have certain freshness to them and this can be highlighted by the increasing popularity of the songs.
Anindya Chattopadhyay said on the occasion “I had worked with Nandita di, Shibu and Atanu da in Alik Sukh. Composing music for them is a pleasure for me. I am grateful to them as I got the chance to work with Anupam who is really doing great work. My relationship with Anupam is transparent. New talents like Rudra and Prosmita have also contributed in enhancing the feel of the album”.
Belaseshe is the journey of a joint family and their lifestyle in the modern day society. What happens when the head of the family, decides to get separated and the effect of the decision on the family members is what the film showcases. Soumitra Chatterjee and Swatilekha Sengupta share screen space after thirty years as the couple who get separated.
Produced by Window Productions, Belaseshe is slated for release on the 1st of May.
