“We have used various acoustics instruments for the background score and have minimized the use of electronic instrument. The biggest challenge was the use of a poem from Geetanjali as a song in the film. When I sat down to actually compose the music, I found that the poetry had music. Why didn’t Tagore think of writing them down in song format, I wonder!!” said music director Pandit Debojyoti Bose.

Shreya Ghoshal, Kaushiki Chakraborty, Jayati Chakraborty, Shaheb Chatterjee, Arjun Chatterjee and Shuvolagna have lent their voices to the songs in the album. There are seven songs in the film.

Speaking at the occasion, Bratya Basu said “I play Madhusudan in the film which is a grey shaded character. He is not dark like Sandip of Ghare Baire novel. It was a great experience working in this film. My co-actors have also done a fantastic job in the film. For instance Locket’s acting in this film has amazed me. This is one of her best performances till date”.
