Rohit Roy visits Kolkata to Promote television series Khooni Saaya
A sixteen year old youth mercilessly killed his friend and his parents. He even washed the knife with which he killed them at their bathroom. If this very description gives you the creeps, then the new series Khooni Saaya on Investigation Discovery is the perfect show for you to watch out. The new show on Investigation Discovery will bring intriguing tales of crimes that have happened in real life to people all over the world. The press conference of this upcoming show was held in the presence of the anchor of the show Rohit Roy and Arun Thapar, Vice-president, Programming, Discovery Networks, Asia Pacific.
In each episode of Khooni Saaya, a new murder mystery will be shown. The show will also showcase how the case was solved. Interviews with the investigators involved with solving of the case, prosecutors, neighbors and family members will also be shown in the show.
“When I first saw some of the episodes, like the one in which the sixteen year old lad kills his friend and the members of his friend’s family, I was shocked. I asked the executive producer not to tell me the outcome. Hence when I will be anchoring the show, you will be able to find the real curiosity, shock in my face. This is a simple way in which I will be able to reach out to the audiences” said actor-anchor Rohit Roy.
The actor who dislikes watching the typical Saas-bahu serials on television mentioned that he liked watching such investigative shows on television. He even liked the show Dexter which was aired on television.
“Stories of disaster have always caught the attention of the audiences. These stories have already been shown in the U.S.A. It gained huge popularity there and with this show, we plan to grasp the minds of the Indian audiences too. As I say in every show’s end, one has to be careful from the individuals around them. For you never know that the person you trust may be a cold blooded killer on the prowl” added Rohit Roy.
The new show will start from 1st June onwards, Monday to Saturday at 8pm.
