Eminent writer Shirsendu Mukhopadhyay was recently graced the launch of the book Joto Mot Toto Poth at Hotel Hindusthan International. The book is written by Barun Kumar Roy, Chief Commissioner of Excise.
The book Joto Mot Toto Poth is a journey of metamorphism, in a belief of non-existence of God, irrelevance of superstitions and others. The author has done comprehensive study on these issues which he has presented in this book. The book reveals multifarious layers of knowledge about which many of us are not even aware of. The book contains seven episodes which are further subdivided into seventeen other sub periods.
According to the author, the book will be a revolution in the stream of blind faith and superstition. “Many people will not like it and some will like it. Even if a few people like my work, I will consider it a reward for the hard work I put in writing the book” said author Barun Kumar Roy.
The launch of the book was followed by an insightful panel discussion on “No one is a burden in love”. Poet Subodh Sarkar, Dr. Kunal Sarkar, Dr. Sujata Mukhopadhyay and others took part in this discussion and enthralled the audiences.
Priced at rupees thee hundred, the book will be available at the various outlets of Deep Prokashan as well as in the other retail book stores.
