The music launch of the upcoming Bengali feature film DAKBAKSHO was done in the presence of Santoor Maestro Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya along with singers Rupankar and Monomoy at the Calcutta Press Club. The cast of the film including the female lead Supreeta Chaudhury was also present on the occasion.
The film has been directed by debutante Director Dr. Prasenjit Chaudhuri (who is a renowned surgeon of Kolkata) and has also composed the music of the film. Rupankar Bagchi, Monomoy Bhattacharya, Mou and Avik have lent their voices to the songs in the film.
DAKBAKSHO has 2 parallel story lines. It unravels the mystery of the deep recesses of the human mind and also about an abandoned post box and a mysterious character.
Speaking at the occasion, Prasenjit Chaudhuri said “This film is my effort to make a visual story from Shakti Chattopadhyay’s famous poem Postman in the Autumn’s Wood. With the help of this psychological suspense drama, the film explores the communication gap between individuals and identities”.
The album is priced at Rs. 125 and has been released by Asha Audio Company.
The film releases on 26th June and the premiere will be held at Priya Cinemas.
