Scion of Ikshvaku Promotion
Tribal drums were played as eminent writer Amish entered Starmark for the launch of his much awaited book Scion of Ikshvaku in Kolkata. The writer even played the drums with the young team of musicians.
The Scion of Ikshvaku, the first book of the Ram Chandra Series is Amish’s take on the Ramayan. The story begins in Ayodhya which is weakened by divisions. A terrible war has also taken its toll on the kingdom and the damage runs deep in the kingdom. The demon King of lanka, Raavan however does not impose his rule on the defeated. He imposes this on the trade. Money of the people is sucked out slowly and this leads the people to poverty. The people crave for a leader who will take them out of this crisis. Little do they realize that the leader is among them, the prince called Ram! Will Ram be able to rise above the taint that others heap on him? Will he defeat the demon Lord Raavan who destroyed his childhood?
The writer launched the book along with his young fans and also interacted with the audiences about his new book. “It was sheer destiny and Shiva’s blessing that I took to writing. I had to no plans of becoming a writer. I was engaged in the financial services until the writing bug bit me” said Amish.
The author also added that the book has connections with the Shiva Trilogy and the readers who had read them will be able to find the connection. “The books are connected and you will have to read them minutely to decipher the links. Even the next few books in the Ram Chandra series will also have connections with the Shiva Trilogy” said the author.
