Kishore Kumar’s Third Generation Introduced to the Music Industry; Granddaughter Muktika Ganguly makes her Debut



Baba Mere, a musical concert by Amit Kumar was held on occasion of the release of his audio CD Baba Mere from his newly launched online music company Kumar Brothers Music at Uttam Mancha. The event was organized by Amit Kumar Fan Club in association with Centrestage, supported by Shyam Sarkar.

It was a very special musical event as Kishore Kumar’s granddaughter, Amit Kumar’s daughter Muktika Ganguly was introduced to the music industry. Baba Mere is the most challenging music video where Muktika meets her grandfather, Kishore Kumar in a dream sequence; which was also screened at the event. In this music video Amit Kumar has played double role, that of his legendary father and himself.


This album features six Hindi non-film songs; all composed by Amit himself, while the lyrics has been penned by Kishore’s wife Leena Chandavarkar (Ganguly). The music has been arranged by Kishore’s younger son Sumeet Kumar. A postal my stamp was also released at the occasion remembering the legendary musician’s 50 years journey.

The musical was featured with some memorable performances by Amit Kumar ( Kitni Yaaden, Haan Main Hoon Badnam ), Rupankar ( Seto Elona , Ei Je Nodi ), Priya Bhattacharya ( Ki Likhi Tomay, Gaata Rahe Mera Dil with Amit Kr), Sujoy Bhowmik ( Main Sayar Badnaam, Haan Pahli Bar ). The concert was arranged by musician Rocket Mondal.
