Starmark, in association with Kaleidoscope, hosted the launch of the home video of the Bengali film Open Tee Bioscope at its South City Mall outlet. Present at the launch were Soumitra Chatterjee, the director of the film and Chandrabindoo front man Anindya Chatterjee, National Award winning film maker Shoojit Sircar, the entire Open Tee Bioscope team – Riddhi Sen, Rwitobroto Mukherjee, Dhee Majumder and others.
Open Tee Bioscope is a 2015 Bengali comedy drama directed by Anindya Chatterjee. The film is a coming-of-age story of an adolescent boy and his friends, after he comes to stay with his mother in north Kolkata and has some new experiences during his stay. The film steers through emotions of the middle-class community of Kolkata of the 1990s, capturing the essence of north Kolkata, and the quintessential spirit of its ‘para’ football.
Speaking at the occasion, Anindya Chatterjee said “The kids who grew up during this time will be able to relate with the facts shown in the film. The home video will enable those individuals who have not yet watched the film to see it in the comfort of their home”.
