With the chill setting in the city, Ajanta Circus is back again to entertain the people with their mind blowing acts. The circus which had camped at Tala Park near Belgachia metro station is steadily drawing the attention of the visitors.
Performers from not only Kolkata and other parts of India, but from countries like Vietnam, Mongolia have come to the circus this time with their acts. Various death defying stunts which wowed the audiences and made them gasp were also performed at the circus. Manipuri artists performed stunts on knife which nearly made many people put hands on their eyes, more out of fear for the artist who was performing the stunt on the knives.
Bikers in a cage, eating live fish and later taking them out from the mouth and rope acts were some of the other mind blowing performances in the circus.
With many animals like tigers, lions, dolphins being restricted in the circus, the authorities have made use of animals like elephants, dogs, macau for entertaining the audiences. Elephants performing puja of Lord Shiva by pouring water and a garland on the idol was one such performance.
Authorities of the circus highlighted on the fact that the schools have not closed yet for the winter holidays. They are hopeful that with the onset of the winter holidays, there will be more footfalls of the children along with their parents at the circus. They are confident that the number of people coming to the circus will see an increase with the passing of time.
The tickets are priced at Rs. 100, 200 and 300 respectively. For those individuals who want to book tickets in advance, the ticket prices are Rs 200 and 300. For those who want to avoid the inconvenience of long queues, the option of online booking can also be availed. The circus will continue till the end of January. The show times are 1pm, 4pm and 7pm.
