Art cannot have one definition. One defines and understands art according to one’s own understanding. Learning from her own experience, Mohini Mehta a young and budding artist showcased her painting exhibition ‘The Undefined Lands’. Eminent painter and social activist Shuvaprasanna Bhattacharya inaugurated the exhibition and also went through the works done by the artist.
This is the first solo show of 21 year old girl, Mohini. “The Undefined Lands” deals with the landscape and space. With a little bit of abstraction, these works have helped her to realize where she is going or rather identify herself. Over the time, all the travelling has shaped her views and thoughts.
Mohini’s paintings in this exhibit showcased a different perceptive of how she views landscape. From using lines to blocks and vibrant colors from red to blue, all of them have evolved from her personal visit to those lands. Using different mediums like oil and acrylic, she has explored with Chinese ink as well.
The exhibition continued till the 15th of December at ICCR.
