The look test of the characters of the upcoming Bengali film Ekti Golpo Naa produced under the banner of Bittu Films Production took place recently. Present at the look test was director Animesh Roy, Nigel Akara, Sayani Dutta and Master Trishan Chatterjee.
“The film is a psychological drama. Nigel plays the role of a toy designer named Anirban. He is a loner and searches for his lost childhood. Raka is a budding singer who comes to the city to make her name in the music industry. She is a struggler. This is not a suspense film but is basically a psychological drama” said director Animesh Roy.
Nigel who will be playing the role of Anirban in the film was seen sporting a suit and posing with a teddy bear for the look test. “I play the role of a psychologically affected individual Anirban who is a toy designer by profession. I cannot reveal much as you can see the assistant director has asked me not to reveal much at the moment. I am doing researches before the shooting starts as the director is very particular about minute details. Hence I paid a visit to Antaray, where I observed people with different psychological problems. Not all reacted in the same way. That was a great help” said the actor.
Sayani Dutta will be seen in the role of Raka, a budding young singer in the film. “I am quite excited about this role as I am about the other roles that I play in the other films. As far as the look is concerned, I will be sporting an Indian look when I stay in the village. When I come to the city, a change will take place and I will be seen sporting, jeans and sleeveless kurtis and tops. I will not be seen sporting mini- skirts however!!”
The shooting will be done in different parts of the city like Sector 5, Maidan, Park Street and others. Music of the film has been done by Subhayan and Anwesha will be lending her voice to this song. “The reason why I have kept one song is simply because more songs will distort the main story. I did not want that to happen” said the director.
The film will begin shooting from the 8th of March.
