New Zee Bangla Serial Ei Cheleta Bhelbheleta Press Conference
The press conference to announce the launch of the new serial of Zee Bangla “Ei Cheleta Bhelbheleta” took place recently.
Speaking at the event, story writer Leena Gangopadhyay said “The story is essentially a teenage love story. The wife of a Mukti joddha is sent to India as situations are not good in Bangladesh. Her husband promises to call her back as soon as the situation becomes good. She earns her livelihood by making toys. After many years she receives a letter from a woman named Punyolokhi. She had given her jewelry box to her and Punyolokhi wanted to give that back to her. Incidentally she has also relocated to India due to issues in Bangladesh. It is during this meeting that Shaluk meets Abir and they develop a liking for each other. What happens next is what the story all about”.
Prapti Chatterjee will be seen essaying the role of Shaluk in the serial. “She is a bubbly girl who likes to pull the legs of other people. But she is not bad at heart. She even teases the hero too” said the pretty actress.
Leena Gangopadhyay also mentioned that the idea behind Shaluk’s mischievous character has come from stories that she heard from Sabitri Chatterjee. “I am writing Sabitri di’s biography. She once told me that she had a neighbor who was a miser at heart. She wanted to teach him a lesson. She got up on a tree and waited for him. Once she saw him coming she threw a jack fruit and that broke on his neck. I take this opportunity to thank her for giving me the idea of that incident for this serial” added Leena.
The serial has been directed by Saibal Banerjee and the music has been composed by Debojyoti Mishra. The camera work has been handled by Madhav Naskar.
The shooting is been done at Movieton while the outdoor shoot will be done in places like Taki, Akra, Baruipur and Bolpur.
Somraj Maity, Sabitri Chatterjee, Anusua Majumdar, Sankar Chakraborty, Surajit Bandopadhyay will be seen in pivotal roles in the serial.
The new serial will be aired from 28th March, Monday to Saturday, 6.30 pm on Zee Bangla.
