Also present were Sudeshna Roy, Abhijit Guha, June Maliah at the special screening of the film. The film has been produced by Raj Chakraborty Productions.
The film Guti Mallar is about a boy named Mallar who is a born loser. He can speak or do no good. He has a cousin Bhatkai who is his rival. Bhatkai wants the ancestral home in which they live all for himself. Malhar and his parents try different techniques to drive Bhatkai away. They also appoint a special female goon named Guti for the purpose. The love story between the female goon and the local boy is what the film all about.
Sourav who plays Mallar said “Mallar is a loser. Not that he does not try hard but he loses his nerve under pressure. How he overcomes this nervousness with the help of Guti is what you will see in the film. This is my first film with Zee Bangla Cinema Originals and with this film I am taking small steps towards doing a film in Tollywood. I share a good rapport with Raj da as I have worked with him before too. I have done Raage Anuraage where I was the main villain and I have done “I Laugh You” too. Hence, we share a great rapport. When he offered me the role I agreed at once to do the role”.
Mimi Chakraborty has lent her voice to a song in this film. Savvy has composed the music of this film.
Raj Chakraborty said “When I was making Chirodini Tumi Je Amar, Pallab da helped me a lot. I was not even aware of how to use the camera. He helped me a lot. I am glad that I am associated with him in this film. Padmanabha Dasgupta has written a good story. I had heard that Mimi often sang songs. So I asked her to prove herself. She recorded the song within an hour. After listening to the song, I thought I could have used it in a film. She has sung so beautifully. Watch the film. Hope you like the entire team effort!!”
The film will be shown on 24th April, at 9 pm on Zee Bangla Cinema.
