New Zee Bangla serial Premer Phade Starts April 18; A Welcome Break from the Monotonous Saas-Bahu Saga

Ravi Ojha Productions has come up with a romantic-comedy serial titled Premer Phade to break the monotony of the Saas-Bahu conflicts which the audiences are being subjected to. Directed by Gopal Chakraborty, the shooting of the serial is currently in progress at a studio in Kolkata.

Ratnaboli’s family consists of his two sons namely Pulok and Pallab. Her husband has died. Pulok is a government lawyer who is very honest. His family consists of his wife Sreemoyee and they have three sons. Pallab, Ratnaboli’s other son is a corporate employee whose family consists of his wife Siuli and two daughters. Siuli has the insecurity that since they have two daughters, they need to save money for the marriage of the daughters. Rishi is Pulok’s son and works in an event management company. He is not so disciplined at work though he completes the work in a good manner. Things take a turn when Mohor joins his office. She is just the opposite of Rishi. She bosses over him at office. Coincidentally Mohor takes a room on rent at Rishi’s house. It is there that he takes an upper hand. What happens next? Does love blossom between the two or they continue bickering?

The story and concept is by Mitali Bhattacharya, dialogues and screenplay are by Sharmila Mukherjee and the music is by Kalyan Sen Borat. Sunetra Basu is the creat director of this serial.

“There is an intrigue kept about the background of Mohor in the serial. She comes alone to Kolkata. The USP of the serial is that the family of the heroine is not shown here. We do not have two families going against one another. Instead this is more of an interaction between the hero and the heroine at home and office” said the director.

Actress Mishmee Das who plays the role of Mohor said “This is a great role that I have been offered. The girl is independent and likes to work efficiently. This causes a tiff with the character Rishi, who is quite lazy by nature”. Actor Rajiv Basu plays the role of Rishi.

Tanima Sen, Anirban Guha, Chaitali Mukherjee, Abhijit Deb Roy, Kanchana Moitra, Montu, Kasturi Ghosh, Rumpa Chatterjee, Partha Sarathi Dey will be seen in important roles in this serial.

The serial starts from 18th April, Monday to Sunday at 5.30 pm.
